A scholar researching the history of this region needs more information on Mesopotamian statues. Namely, he needs an actual price to study. Basra would be the place to ask about Mesopotamia.

I hear that a lot of alabaster statues are found in this area. The people here must have access to alabaster and developed their sculpting technique. I'm sure the Port Official would know about excavation sites in the area.

An ancient city used to exist east of this town. There have been many reports that treasures have been discovered there. The ancient city is said to be south from where you land, so why don't you try going that way? I've heard explorers say they found treasures near a slanted boulder.

I've heard that discoveries of alabaster statues have been made east of the town Basra located north of Persian Gulf. It should be worth looking into. Let's head south and find this slanted boulder.

Stone statue from the Mesopotamian civilization. Made from alabaster, it gives a gentle impression. Mesopotamian statues are characterised by large eyes and flowing beards.
