A harsh enviroment Oh, Western Havana, is it? Been there a number of times, but the tide's fast and it can be calm one minute, flash storm the next. A sea full of hardship, that is. But rather than listen to me, reckon that sailor there knows better. Why not ask him? [IMG:01] 2. A wild storm Met with some furious storms in that area from time to time. In the western gulf especially, a small vessel will not fare well in a storm. If a storm is brewing, better you forget about leaving port. Regarding western Havana, I do believe there is one bloke more knowledgeable that I, though. [IMG:01] 3. Bay to the west West from here, huh. Wide gulf there. At the mouth of the gulf there is a peninsula jutting out north-south. Oh, and according to legend there is a large, stone ruin in the south of the peninsula. Covered by dense forest such that none can confirm it, though. [IMG:01] 4. Sickness that brings death Leaving port? Just one warning, then: come rainy season in these parts, a high-fever illness tends to become prevalent, one that kills in the worst cases. No treatment yet, either. Is a rumour that drinking brewed bark of some tree cures it. In any case, if you get a fever, please take my advice and rest. [IMG:06] 5. Bay to the west of Havana Did some legwork round Santo Domingo and Havana. Looks like there is a huge gulf west of Havana. Would be good to investigate and report on the topography there, no?
