It's said that there's an Ancient Persian ruin between Basra and this city. I mean, there was a large empire there, wasn't there? You can probably get more information if you go to Basra

The Traveling Archeologist told me that there was a monarch who received 'a symbol of royal authority from Ahura Mazda'... I don't know what exactly that means, though. It might make more sense to ask him directly.

You must mean Ardashir I. I also heard rumors that there are many Sasanian ruins between this city and Hormuz. Meaning, there must be records on Ardashir I there!

Apparently, there are ruins of the Sasanian Empire of Ancient Persia between Basra and Hormuz.
Keep an eye out for interesting Boulders. Maybe it will help find records on Ardashir I. Let's land there and begin searching.
