Apus
One of the constellations of the southern sky. It was established based on the records left by Pieter Dirkszoon Keyser who created the star chart for the southern sky. The constellation was named after the birds of paradise, discovered in the Southern Hemisphere during the same period of time. In 'Uranometria,' it is mistakenly recorded as 'Apis Indica' which refers to the 'Indian Honey Bee.'
