What does this skill do? I have Caldina but I can't figure out what to do with this skill.

This aide skill allows you to auto-produce with the Storage skill while sailing, even through zone changes.

Alright, I think I'm missing something obvious. How does auto-producing work?

As I understand it, this skill allowed you to set your Aide to automatically produce a recipe of your choice, and closed the obstructive production window to allow you freedom to see and do other things while production was carried out, even through ocean zone changes. Automated production would stop when you ran out of vigour, or materials for the chosen recipe.

However, since a patch some time back changed it so you can do all your recipe productions in one go and save a lot of time, I imagine these Task skills don't see a lot of use nowadays. That's not to say they're useless, though. It's all in your preferred play style.
