It can be mounted on the rear/left right of a ship, and is used as a material for a future transmutation alchemy Memorial Album recipe in Chapter 2: Ephesos and Rhodes to create 太陽神ヘリオスの像 -- that is, the "Statue of the sun god Helios" ship decoration. More on that, another day.
