i gave lots of food to my aide but couldn't see any difference... no more bonus days, no more points to distribute... what is the expected effect of aide foods?

it increses the _-CHANCE-_ that you will get one or more attribute points in the area that each food is supposed to help. No guarantees and you'll never be for sure whether or not it would have gotten the points anyway. But a chance is a chance eh?

Put it this way - if you never feed your aide, they will end up with about 2/3 the points compared to feeding them.....but you have to feed them LOTS....
For whatever attribute you are trying to raise, feed them the Aide Food for that attribute, but KEEP feeding them until they stop talking. (Each time you feed them, they say something, for about 20-25 food....)
At their next level up, they will have a higher chance to raise that point, even if you never used them in that type of job.
After they level up, feed them again for the next level!
As you can see, this can get REALLY expensive..... I brought one of my aides up to about 30/20/20 and they had DOUBLE the points of my other aide which was 40.30.25...but it probably cost me 200mil or more.

200 mil? O.O but you can craft it with cooking 7 XD way cheaper to rank it even using PO's than 200m buying aide food

it certainly is cheaper to go make it than to buy it...
now make some and find out why people are more than happy to buy it even if they have the ability to make it.

People is more lazy and other dont cook anymore, or dont have cooks on their company. Lately, the few cooks around have the oportunity for a nice profit... as long they dont go greedy...

Yep, very time consuming. Some people look at how much time it would take to gather everything together and compare that with how much ducats they could make in that same amount of time. If the price on an item is right, you can end up with the same amount of stuff in less time and hassle if you just buy it and use the time saved to make more ducats.

um, buying it instead of making it is all fine and good, but my goodness 200M is enough to buy 4000-6000 units, that's enough for 200+ levels. Did you buy from the first person you saw selling it?

when you use aide food, does it go to both aides? only my first aide seem to talk.
Guilder09-10-2014
Yes, both aides should be getting "fed" regardless of one doing the talking. In fact, when you have three or more aides, I've found it can be helpful to feed them all at once in your quarters -- you tend to go through less aide food that way.
The exception to this rule is if you've previously fed an aide one kind of food (let's say, Storekeeper), and they leveled without getting a Storekeeper trait point. Until the aide gets a Storekeeper point, any further Storekeeper aide food will be wasted on them. Hope that helps (and makes sense).
