What happens if you're plundered? I also presume that equipment breaking doesn't affect the 2nth layer, if it can't lose durability?

you don't lose them forever , you use another of this tools to remove them from the layer , but i wonder if they lose dura

Does not lose dura it doesn't even count towards your total inventory its as if it doesn't exist

Layering tools
Use it to layer a cloth over the equipment you wear. The attack and def powers will not change, but it also can accumulate the formality and disguise.

Remember: That won't affect your attack and def powers, and layered clothes don't boost skills.

Listen treat layered clothes like they dont exist

*Cant be plundered
*Cant give you ANY boosts by wearing the item
*Cant lose Dura
*Cant be removed except by using layering tools again
*All clothes that require fame, title or job can be worn using layered tools even if you dont meet the requirements
*Does NOT count toward your inventory (ex. inventory 45/50 if you use a layered tool on the clothes it will go to 44/50)

TREAT THEM AS IF THEY DONT EXIST

Some notes and corrections to Laurencio's post, according to my tests yesterday:
- The only boosts you get from the layered equipment is the formality and disguise. Each slot is compared with the respective actual slot you are wearing and it keeps the highest value. (eg. Layered hat disguise 20, normal hat disguise 10 : you get 20 disguise from the layered and not from the normal)
- You still have requirements to layer clothes depending on the job/title/fame, but those are only until you layer them. So, you can wear them while meeting those requirements, and then you can change title/job and they will stay layered.

*Cant be plundered

*You MUST meet the requirements Job/Title/Fame/Notoriety in order to use layering tools on a piece of clothing HOWEVER once you have layered the clothes they are PERMANENTLY attached until you use layering tools on them again. This means that after you have layered them when you meet the requirements and you switch jobs or lose fame/notoriety or anything that would not permit you to wear it anymore it WILL REMAIN layered until you remove with layering tools

*Does NOT count toward your inventory (ex. inventory 45/50 if you use a layered tool on the clothes it will go to 44/50)

TREAT THEM AS IF THEY DON'T EXIST ONCE LAYERED

layered clothes are pemanent and dont lose durability (so not need to repair), but also only gives the sociability and disguise boost.
But, keep in mind that layered clothes cannot be recovered, if you use that in a expensive and unique clothing, you will lose the item forever

Nicola absolutely wrong layered clothes are not lost forever you just use the tools again just like CPC said. Even though layered clothes dont lose dura it may still be possible to recover two sets of clothes using world tarot basically restoring 2 for the price of one. Can anyone confirm if world tarot expiring works on layered clothes?

Just wondering, are bounty hunter "points" the same as pirate notoriety when it comes to equipping/layering notoriety equipment?

Oh yes, the bounty hunters are indeed criminals like pirates then... NOT!!! :P

Unfortunate you need to be a pirate and reach a certain level of notoriety to wear pirate clothes. But the plus side is once meeting the requirement and you layer it then you don't have to worry anymore when the amount of notoriety drops below the required one. It only happens if you remove the pirate clothes from your layered equipments.

Ha, I was sure that'd be the case, but when you see blue-name players wearing red-name equipment, you start to wonder... I guess they used the ol' "get notoriety, layer on stuff, then use notoriety reducing items" trick. Besides, I imagine some bounty hunters are pretty notorious to the pirates they sink. ;)
