I have noticed that when by yourself and need items, not trade goods, don't set your title to relic hunter. I tested this more than once and it has given me the item after turning the relic hunter title to something else... This is for chest items, I'm not sure if NPC drops are affected or not?

In my experience it's quite the opposite, Sakura. Ive ran Giza lower many times without the title and never gotten this book. After I did get relic hunter title and ran Giza lower a few more times I got the book not once but twice.
