1. 나라싱하
비슈누의 여러 모습 중에는 나라싱가라고 하는 사자의 머리와 인간의 몸을 지닌 것이 있습니다. 인간에게도 신에게도 야수에게도 살해되지 않는 남자를 쓰러뜨리기 위해 인간도 신도 야수도 아닌 모습이 되었다고 합니다. 멀리 동쪽 나라에도 힌두교의 신화가 그대로 전해져 있는 것일까요.

2. 노라싱가
흠, 분명히 똑같이 전해져 있네. 단지 이 지방에서는 나라싱가가 아니라 노라싱가라고 하네. 차이라고 하면 그 정도 뿐이지. 앙코르 유적에 멋진 노라싱가 상이 있다고 하네. 보고 오면 좋을 걸세.

3. 로프부리 부근의 힌두교
사자 머리와 인간의 몸을 한 신은 비슈누가 변신한 모습이라고 한다. 인도에서는 나라싱하, 로프부리에서는 노라싱가라고 해서 호칭 이외는 별다른 점이 없다고 한다. 앙코르 유적 중에는 훌륭한 노라싱가 상이 있다고 한다.
