Blue Wolf Statue 1. Well regulated knights
The nomadic people that came from the east must be the Tatars. With armies composed of mostly cavalry, they would pretend to be pressed back and feign a retreat. Once their pursuers were detached from their main force, they would surround and close in on their enemy. I'm pretty sure their leader's name was Batu. Apparently, the area north of this town was once a part of their territory.

The Mongols headed westward towards Europe after their conquest of China. The person who led the advance was Batu. Batu controlled the land on the northwest coast of the Black Sea. We should disembark and do a search.

Batu Khan was the son of Jochi, the oldest son of Genghis. He led European campaigns to revive the khanate of the Kipchaks. This seems to have been part of Batu's treasure.
