Statue of Narasimha
The form Vishnu took in order to take down Hiranyakashipu of the Asura clan who could not be killed by beast nor by human. He has the head of a lion and the body of a human. As he was a creature that was neither beast nor human he was able to defeat Hiranyakashipu. It's said that Nrisingha came to be based on the story of Narasimha.
