This would accomplish nothing, as there is not way to force people to use a real name, no way to correlate it to a game account, or anything like that. It could only be done on the official website, where they can hook into the database containing users and their characters.

This is getting beyond ridiculous. Do some research and shop around a little bit and it becomes really easy to tell who is selling at hyper inflated prices. Don't buy from them, it really is that simple.

the word "scam" is getting thrown around by a lot of people who honestly don't understand or know what that word even means. If you agreed to a price for a certain ship, say a 5/5 MFCV. And you paid exactly what you agreed to pay, and got EXACTLY what you thought you were getting, nobody got scammed. If you overpaid then boohoo for you, do your homework a little better next time.

I never bought any ships from Servicio, in fact the only thing I ever bought from him were Improved Salvage Ropes. They were on the high side, but I knew that when i bought them. Thing is he had them, nobody else did for any cheaper or guess what, I would have bought them elsewhere. I didn't get scammed, I got what I wanted at the price I agreed to.

You guys really need to calm it down a notch and quit calling people out for "scamming" unless they promised you something and delivered something else.

I find it especially disturbing that charging a commission is considered "scamming", since it is standard operating procedure in virtually every RL business that involves selling products.

Frankly, if I could pay someone 300 million to go to Seville and sell an item that would net me 1.7 billion, I would do that in a heartbeat, partly because I would rather spend my in-game time playing the game, and partly because (no joke) spending more than ten minutes in Seville can give me an eyestrain headache.

Bottom line: caveat emptor. The only people who get "scammed" are those that agree to bad deals and later found out they could have gotten a better one.

But I guess the point is, the previous few posts never claimed CV = CIS but merely being shocked by how CIS is 17b when it's dura and crew leaves much to be desired for. Two months ago even AFCVs were going for 12-15b ticket and MIS were about 15-17b ticket. With the introduction of ships like HFCV, MLA, FIS and MSupF even the MIS has gone down in value. This is worsened by the fact that Welcome Melee is no longer as sexy after the deck cleaning BC (January) so that's why those who are asking for 17b for an CIS are still asking/shouting/begging.

DHP is really over-rated. I saw lots of people replace shot-defence with DHP and got trashed on max dura by 400+ damage and then end up 1-shot by crit from stern...

Should be DHP + Dshot + accuracy or something but yeah, DHP is overrated unless it's on MLA or the upcoming La Mort where you can just charge in head on for melee. Another problem I find with DHP is that at r1 (it will always be r1) it gets deactivated too frequently so you might be thinking "oh I'm safe from bow crit lemme turn this way" then bammmmmm deactivate then bow crit then GG.
