all 3 or just 1 needed?

Francine

For theses it's normally just 1, but base 11 needed. Boosting it with items won't work.

Does this also hide the quests you have discovered but don't have the card? like for example you used it as an ornament.

if you make into ornament or lost the card in debate battle
you can do the Q again
ReaD08-14-2013
if you have quest that you already discover BUT lose the card due to ornament or debate event...you can redo it again and this skill won't hide that quest(the one that you lose those disco card)

Hmmm, so, if i make an ornament from Fort San Domingo discovery card, will I be able to get the quest "Abandoned Quest" for Fort San Domingo again, considering that I have done the second quest in that chain "Explorer searching for Fort San Domingo" ?

Nina

there's no ornament for FSD yet , so you can only lose the card on debate battle
well, i did lose it twice & got near 1b from selling it

What about Azuchi Castle? It has an ornament. So can I get first quest in chain for the second time?
Guilder08-16-2013
First quest in Azuchi chain is technically Reputation of Sakai (though that does reappear after you've completed it). While I haven't made an Azuchi ornament, I have for Palenque and Tenochtitlan; they showed up again just fine, so I don't see why Azuchi disc quest (Remaining Glory of Hegemony) shouldn't respawn after that.

What is the exact name of thesis and?

The name for the thesis is "Re-evaluating Discoveries--Hidden Values". I'm expecting to complete it today. HINT: You can repeat the same low-level quests in Northern Europe to expedite completing the quest (100 pages total--1 page for new discovery under r3, 3 pages for repeated discovery under r3, 4 pages for repeated discovery greater than or equal to r3). Plus you get an additional 3 pages for EA discoveries, but that doesn't seem practical to go to EA and then come back after about 15 discoveries to turn in your thesis, in my opinion.

useless skill
Snipe07-25-2014
well, its really useful to ppl who wants to pull a certain quest (uses lesser qmp) and those like me who would never want to take a quest one has taken b4. What thesis must one do to unlock this skill btw?
ReaD07-25-2014
r11 base of 1 the skill search/eco/recognition/unlock and done certain college event to unlock the thesis....
Egw07-26-2014
It is a somewhat useful skills, although I have to warn people, not as useful as it appears at first sight. It does bring some new discovery quests sometimes, but also spams you with "develop sea lane"s.
Guilder07-26-2014
Those "deliver trade goods that require fishing or procurement" quests like to crop up with this on, as well. Tip: accept one quest you have no use for (two, if you feel like spending cultural contribution) before using QMPs with this skill active. That helps lower the potential quest generation pool and, hopefully, will let you obtain the quest you're really after much quicker.
DiNozzo07-26-2014
Does this skill really save QMP to take an unfinished discovery quest?
I suspect that it only replaces finished discovery quests with blank
and doent improve the chance of getting new discovery quests at all.
Snipe07-26-2014
if it replaces the finished discovery quests with blank then every time one uses a qmp it should show much lesser quests than 7-9 (provided he/she has done a lot of discoveries) if this is the case then what u said might be true but if its not then the skill most likely replaces finished discovery quests with quests that aren't completed by he/she, thus reducing qmp
Egw07-26-2014
I think the truth is somewhere in between. You certainly DON'T get 7-9 new discovery quests every time with this skill equipped. You do end up with a selection of 2-3 quests *sometimes*, of which 1, 2 or all can be "develop sea lane"s and such. On the other hand, you may sometimes see quests you couldn't easily see before. It seems to me it does two things, firstly it somewhat increases the chance of a new discovery quest to appear. Secondly, it does mask old discoveries in the final selection and leaves the spots blank. I'd guess it does reduce the QMPs needed, but not dramatically so.

...these are what I've seen - when talking with others who've tried it, opinions vary from somewhat satisfied all the way down to utterly disappointed. I suggest you guys give it a go when you get the credits and see for yourselves :-).
ReaD07-27-2014
my experience using this
while it is true that it hide the discovered quest(and you did not lose the disco card)
this thing also spawn some useless quest too and sometimes i even get 2-3 quest that is not discovery quest related.
when using this thing..be sure to equip adventure graduate title for a tiny bit chance for the quest you want to pop out or maybe some RARE one
o yea..this thing ain't cheap too...can't remember how much it cost...
the tricks guilder mention might help...the accept quest thing...
V_I07-27-2014
It costs 4500 credits to equip!

Note: this also affects Folklore quests given by Prince Henrique in Sagres, which are otherwise repeatable after completion.
