i think it works like loaded explosive, damage enemy ship while melee. not sure if damage your own ship tho.

Works like any other melee skill that you select every round of melee and at the conclusion of melee you get an "effect" which varies depending on how many time you used this skill:
2 = flood
3 = damage all sails
4 = flood + damage all sails
5 = damage rudder
6 = flood + damage all sails + damage rudder

This do damage to the durability or just parts? this skill looks death with general check.

If you ask me , this skill is dead ... General check skill from oxford college once activated it kills everything but flooding in which flooding stops it's self in 1-20 seconds.So yes if you or anyone else were to ask me if this skill is dead " which dead means USELESS " I would most surly say YES !!

This skill is considered useful especially in team-battles. What info is forgotten for this page is that the fact that this skill causes also "Destroy" effect on sails or rudder when it is used enough.

When your rudder or sails are destroyed instead damage then it means you CANNOT repair them with general check or items till the end of the current sea battle.

Just an note about this skill, when you've used it several times against your opponent and you die in melee battle then the effects from demolition work WON'T apply. :x

Be careful how many times you want to use over the amount of risk you take depending with whom you're dealing with.
