How do those work? I got them from the Rhodes Legacy, tried them in battle, with and without spare sail. As far as i can tell it does nothing.

Do they only work if your sails get ripped from a storm? I try to find a storm, but as with every sailor equip the dura goes down FAST, so they probably run out of dura before i find a storm to test.

I was told this particular one is useless/visual only and just changes your sailor icon

I've heard one veteran player's theory that it may reduce the loss of sail equip's durability. But I have not heard anything from their testing as yet. We can ask the GMs in support ticket, bearing in mind that KOEI doesn't always like to tell them everything.

Still looking for a storm to see if they might autorepair sails then.

I sailed with them and 2 other sailor equip for a moment, they lost 3 dura, sailor compass lost 2, oak barrel lost 4, so that does not work.

I tried to find something about them in the jap wiki, without success. But i found them in DHO, the korean wiki, they also have no idea what it does. They have the same idea quick had, if you put on 3 the sailor icon changes. That is technically true (the best kind of true, i know) but if i put on 3 other sailor equip the icon also changes to the same picture. That just happens because they are a sailor equip, that can't be what they do.

I have 3 more i have not used for testing yet, i sell them in "GenoaStoopSale" in Genoa for 1k ducats, if anyone has an idea what they might do, be my guest to test it. :)

I finaly found a Storm. \o/ A Snowtorm, but i think that does not matter.

I sailed through it as long as it lasted. Both my alts got their sails basicly instantly detroyed, my admiral which had those Spare Sail Arrangement Set got through without destroyed sails. Just found one storm, so i can't be sure, might be a coincidence, but i guess that's what they do, protect the sails during a storm.

Sorry, but looks like the theory of this item protecting sails during a storm is debunked. I had these equipped (all three slots) and managed to find a storm, not a snowstorm though but actual storm.

It managed to destroy one of my alt's ship sails. I also gave a thought.. maybe i should let the sails destroyed for a meantime, maybe the sailor equip would fix it later? But nope, it stays broken.

I really wish KOEI would give us some shed of light about this item. They can't just put these as drops in multiple legacy zones for nothing..

To quote a support ticket:

"While this item doesn't have any apparent abilities or ship modifiers there is one thing that it does share with other Sailor Equipment. That is its durability. Perhaps there is a clever way to use this in order to protect your more valuable Sailor Equipment but that is all we will say on this matter."

Clever wording, but it sounds to me like this basically acts as a 'decoy' to attract durability loss instead of your other sailor equips. Of course, KOEI may have sneakily hidden some function that they didn't bother to tell Papaya about, but the mystery seems to be solved at this point. Cheers.

Dont think that works either, at least not fully. I had this in one slot and oak barrel and the old compass in the other 2 and all 3 sailor equips lost dura while sailing. I mean, sure, in case you have 1 SE you realy care about, then having those in the 2 other slots will probably prevent at least some Dura loss. But the third one will still loss some dura, so you have to repair it anyway.

Alrn? The alt with the destroyed sails had the Spare Sail Arrangement Set equipt? I guess so, just want to be sure. :)

Yeah, I forgot to say it, but 2 SSAS + 1 SE of choice would be the only effective combo. It isn't 100% as you said, but it does work to some degree.

In my previous statement, i said "I had these equipped (all three slots)" so yes my alt equipped these in full slots. I also tried with 2 SSAS + 1 SE later, but it doesn't mean anything at all.

Having 3 SSAS didn't fix the sails after storm, sail damaged through battle or broke reef. Having 2 SSAS + 1 SE didn't prevent the 1 SE dura loss either, it just seems normal dura loss without any sort of decrease like Guilder stated.

In short, i.. still don't really see anything from this sailor equip. If it really did anything, i'm sure people in JP server would figure it already. But they didn't, thus seemingly confirming that this sailor equip doesn't do anything at all lol.

Maybe this sailor equip's hidden abilities only worked with UWC sailor equips? Because i only used obtainable ones.
