Wave Resist only affects max speed has no affect on start-up acceleration speed nor in-battle speed, it does help with reducing chacne of random leaks both in/out of battle though, no info on whether it helps with reducing sailors thrown overboard === info from Chinese wiki.

This is the problem with TB, they don't know what the players want. TB always has NC ships from afcv, fis, mla but they took out DStorm and Dgaff for a long time in which the effect was prices went from 300m-600m-2b. How the hell are players gonna imp a NC ship if there are no dstorm and dgaffs? i believe this is one of the many reasons the the player base in GAMA is shrinking.

The days of improving a nc ship to its max turn or wave resist is over especially for adventure and trade ships. Last year i got an flc and max its wave and turn. dstorm back then was 250m, i put 4 which in total cost was around 4-4.b for 8/8 with 2-3dgaff and 4-5dstorm. Now the present, if you that today it will cost you 7-8b.

NM unbalanced game on purpose to make more money:

Netmarble created an environment where prices inflate astronomically so dungeoning people need to do more to get the cash to pay the inflated prices like the D storm sail for example.

There then becomes just a few options to compete in the game. 
1 - Dungeon for hours everyday or use a bot
2 - Become a reseller watching the marketplace in Capital cities all day 
3 - Become a scammer stealing NC ships off people by gaining their trust and double crossing them, something which Netmarble never punished people for.
4 - Buy TB's and sell the goods from them 

They know most people wont want to do the first 3 things so leaves them just 1 option to play this game competitively.
Yes you can still play this game for fun in some aspects but if you want to compete at ESF or BC or become a pirate or a piratehunter or then you face a pay-to-win situation only. This is why NM never listened to the players cries for balance, their plan was working for a time. Now the majority of players have left and sales are dwindling again, the game is so pay-to-win that most people wont bother playing it seriously, time to pass it on to a new host and leave the problem with them.

This is how you grind your swordplay/ sword mastery, gunfire, sniping, throwing, and trap skill. This is also how you establish some base weapon forte and finesse. You should be happy dungeons are as profitable as they are otherwise those grinds would be that much more boring. Or of course you can cry that you dont need those skills but than youll just wind up crying even more when you get decked by a pirate. um......There are other ways to make money outside of dungeoning, qmp and po selling. It's called TRADING. Even without NC, you can trade and do nanban and still make a damn good profit. Nothing in this game should be fast, unless you are willing to pay for it.

I think the game is already dead and has been for awhile. When these so called "managers" stopped listening to their player base that was the first sign that the game was on the downward side of the hill. For people who have only been playing for a year or so it they don't see the change as much as some of the longer players. The horrible management practices of ramming unwanted game changes down the throats was way too much for many of the long term players. Add to that, the lies, the arrogance, ignorance, open display of greed, censorship in game and forums and you prove to almost anyone with a brain that you no longer care about the people who pay your wages! So typical of todays world. Sad that a wonderful game that this was and could have been had to go down that path. I stopped playing awhile back. Do I miss it......Yes! But, I will never be one who licks the boots of the tyrant who kicks me. Best to move on you will only get hurt more when they pull the plug for good!

There were no gms in the past. They only appeared the last year or so. I believe the error is when they started listening. Everyone have their own ideas about the game. Some like it, some don't. It's only when they asked for opinions and never listened that people started getting angry. Why introduce the gms in the first place. Just leave it for now and play. It's only a game. First, natural progression of game is only see in japan server, but is by subscription, and ohter servers are FULL of multis and bots and they dont have nerfed rules. kicker, igor, you dont know jack shit about this game was supposed to be played which is nations competing for ports all over the world through investment and military. but it was ruined by NM's cash shop and turned into individualistic game. i doubt any nation has any major plan to or currently flipping ports right now. nc ships and esbt are the main reason the game is broken. you may say korean uwo, albeit without esbt which also under nm employ the same pay to win model as us, but p2w element is accepted in korean gaming community. plus, the server is also only for 1 nation. which means the players use the same currency and money valuation is the same. but this is international server and you cant expect players using lower currency to spend a lot for this game.

Original plan by KOEI is a subscription model game without ANY "nc" stuff. The cash shops models should try the best to adjust the shop to that rules while giving money back, not adjusting the internal game balance to the cash shop.

Either play model would work if done correctly

If there was a Subscription based server with no NC items and ships and no ESBT then fine but its too late now to switch unless a subscription one opens up and players can choose to go to that "pure" server for the way the game was intended or stay in the F2P one.

The Cash shop model could work too but you CANNOT SELL POWER only convinience and exclusive content. MOST IMPORTANTLY YOU CANNOT SELL THINGS THAT DRASTICALLY ALTERS GAMEPLAY like the cannon tools. These tools made the ship battle from one with tactics and skills into whoever shoots first wins no more team work no strategies and ship defensive skills didnt help this is what made most players leave and made people stop buying NC. The God weapon and armor tools could have stayed but Cannon tools can NEVER return. ESBT had to go aswell. Before God Tools and ESBT this model was working just fine and many people were happy should have left it alone...

Mock battle league is not pvp. If it were "Real" things would be different you could pillage items from other players making them less effective. Mock battle league is setup to a certain type, mainly BC/ESF type of players focusing only on cannons.

Mock league doesn't reflect real battle on UWO. It would be fun if it acctualy did. However 99% of thsoe who enter mock league are all white name/bc-esf-mock only players.

Main pvp activities are ESF, BC, mocks and piracy hunting, where cannons are the faster way to defeat the oponent. Meleeing itself dont win fleet battles, but contributes to make cannons more effective. Pillaging is a way to weaken opponent, but not always effective and make battles longer. Very diferent is pirating... or deck battle...

Well PAC you have evaded the challenge of a company non NC sea battle for over 10 hours its very apparent you don't want to do it thats fine.

I'm sure you have your reasons for not wanting to do it and that's ok PAC has achieved much especially in land battle but I will say this and don't take it the wrong way...

I am not ducking the tourney, until anne.bonney can get it organised i will not enter a fleet. my last 2 rounds in ML were at 4am for me while working at 10am the next day. We weren't given an option to reschd our fight. We were told we lose if we dont show. Ye we did lose, but i was there at 4am however why go through that?

The ML is a failed program. Unless anne can be more active/make better pairings the ML will always be failed. The first round was utter crap and super rushed. Not just PAC but many other were rushed to fight with extreme little notice.

When little has changed from that. Why sign up? I am damned if i do and damned if i don't. I rather enjoy playing this game.

All the real maritimers have melee and land oxfords on because in real battles you have to protect from plunder and other variables. Battle ships wave 11 (total) is enough for you to sail thru storms and avoid leaks especially for galleys while sailing, above that is at least for me considered overkill. For merchant and adventure, there is no overkill the higher the better as it will increase your top end speed while sailing.

Accounts would be a good idea. Another idea is to expose the IP Addresses of everyone who post besides their icon and nickname and have a system that actively ban suspicious IP Addresses from posting but allow everyone to read the post. This way people will be more aware and cautious of what they post online.
