It'll break. I'm told you can improve to a certain point with no risk (amount depends on the item), and then you get a warning that further tempering might fail.

pay attention to the pop up message that appear when you use it.....when there is no pop up it will work 100% after some time it will appear a pop up saying that the improvement may fail.....after some time the pop up will change saying the item may be destroyed....so pay attention to pop up message and good improving

Last person I'd trust for game information of this importance is a GM (or whatever he is, nice enough guy the times I've talked to him). Seriously, I have got so much wrong information from GMs about NC items it isn't even funny. My favourite is when Brewmaster told me I could still pull items out of strongbox after it expired (just not be able to put anything back in). LOL, NOPE, guess he wanted to make sure I bought another one so I could get my shit back.

ReaD, you make a lot of good posts on here, but you also have a tendency to present what you think is the case as fact. When we're talking about the possibility of losing very valuable items, you need to be careful. It's real easy to misinterpret the jap wiki, and always possible things will be a bit different on GAMA.

Just pay attention to the pop up window and dont just blindly click the OK button......When it says you risk breaking the item it will be abble to be broken. Too bad your Excalibur isnt replaceable, pray that soon they add it to Trash box....unfortunately the GMs know nothing about the game....it isnt the first mistake they comit....if they did know about the game they would never release the canonsmith tools item on the game, the investment bounds....or even NC ships....a pity.

Ya know there are ways to get around those cheap tactics... when you sail into a port in hostile waters note any players (especially low level ones) idling in front of it. Then you when you actually dock at the port, use search to see if there's any red/orange players there. If both of those conditions are met, that could be a multi boxer pirate. You can do one of 3 things when your ready to leave:

1. Use the Tow and log out feature to tow to a nearby port that's at least about 2-3 sailing days away. Watch a movie, anime, whatever until it's done. Takes me about 30 minutes.

2. If your willing to spend NC you can get a Special ship boarding ticket for 1,500 NC that instantly transports you to one of the nations capitals or a port where liners dock at (Calicut, Santo Domingo, Cape Town etc.)

3. If you have trade goods on board that you need to bring with you, undertaking a quest where there's a time limit, or don't want to try the above two, this is what's left: Carry as little money on you as possible, either through bank or cheques, put all your sails, good equipment, anything valuable in your bank vault, quarters storage, captains bag, and binder and just let yourself get plundered. Your still lose but at least the pirate wont get anything good out of you. (This tactic is more effective if you have a high storage skill rank). Sail back to port you were just at and get your stuff back.

Zacks' alt Lafael isn't a 1/12/1 alt, he uses this alt to cart off all the Nanban he steals from his multi box camping campaign. Youd think with Netmarble trying so hard to promote Nanban Trade that they'd look into this multi boxer. Not only is it detouring players from doing Nanban because he is out here in all forged equipment but the FACT he is multi boxing is a clear violation of TOS. Everyone was so angry Jazzmin didn't get a ban for a TOS violation.. How about Zacks for multi boxing for a tactical advantage.... I guess he spend enough in NC that NM looks the other way...

Attack Zacks' alt Lafeal and turn the Nanban trader into a pirate? Have the Nanban trader lose more money putting a hit on a forged gear deck battler? How do you screenshot a multi boxer? Netmarble can see how many transactions per day occur between Zacks and Lafael, their server also can see both accounts are logged in from the same IP address. When there is this much controversy its worth looking into to maintain the integrity and fair play of the game.

If you cant beat a multi boxer, join him. Sail to EA with your own alt. Load him with trade goods from EU and Nanban goods way back. When Zacks multi box attacks you. Have your alt kamikaze into Zacks so your main (admiral) can run out the circle. He may get 1-2 successful pillage off in the time it takes to have the admiral run circle, no deck. Its still a win tho because now he cant attack you again and youll get more EA goods in the long run. Its obvious NM doesn't care if you multi box so do it up.

Netmarble doesn't care about multi-boxers, look at those saori sellers in seville everyday using similar IGNs, same ships in fleet and they don't get banned. I remember seeing 1 guy SelirNaga or RajaNaga something in a fleet with 3 alt fu ships behind him sailing back from EA. Tons of people abuse multiboxing to the extreme and it's fine by NM's book.

Just when you thought Royal Company couldn't get any more classless as if forged gear and multi boxing wasn't enough... Bliz is using an alt outside of Sakai (doesn't even have the PP). He watches who comes and goes with the alt then logs in Bliz toon which is right outside sakai green/safe zone and attacks players that pass by, then logs back out. As a long time player, if they really do plan to re-add these again, i'm going to quit once and for all, and any respect I have with NM has sunk to the deepest trench. It was bad enough they introduced god gear and guns in the game with these tools, but this will make the game even more un-balanced by unleashing a new wave for players that missed out on the last one. It would make PvP almost unplayable without these things.

If OGP listens to the player base I do not believe these will be brought back. The only people who want these tools are new players who did not see the commotion they ended up causing some 8 months ago. The effects of which are still seen today. These were a either a bad idea or a poorly implemented one, depending on who you talk to. Once deck battles become a mutually agreed upon event, then you could possibly see the return of weaponsmith and armoursmith tools without a fuss, but the cannon forging tools should never be brought back to light.

they are beatable, you have to be damn good, but they are beatable. Smoke cannons and turtle ships kick godgear users right in the ballsack. Releasing the tools like they did before was bad because it ensured only NC-buyers can access them. Make it transferable then parity returns to game. Look at how things have changed now, non-NC players can get speed, exp, skill boosts. They can get NC aides, +18-12 plating. Nanban trade is becoming much more rampant because nanban certs and no-wars are available. Make it available for all or remove god gears entirely to make it fair. And we know one of it is not going to happen.

back to the point of godgear, yes it IS unfair that it exists and is no longer available, but it SHOULD NOT be put back into the server. You are going to lose a LOT of good players if that happens, People that want this gear back have no idea the problems it causes. Teamwork goes out the window, it's one shot-one kill, no skill involved. Why does that even sound like fun?

Netmarble dropped the ball bigtime on this one when they agreed to stop selling it, acknowledged that it was not supposed to work the way it did, but then did nothing to actually fix the problem they admit they created.

"Rashid" as u said NM removed the tools but failed to clean up the aftermath, the problem is i don't think OGPlanet is capable of fixing it either because removing god gears would require huge cooperation from the end of the programmers at KOEI. Fact is that forge tools and god gears are common on the other servers and it's not as big an issue there if u check them out because god gears are up for trade all over the place. For the other servers, the effect of god gears are essentially an extention of stats from 100 to 150. The range of att/def is expanded but not exclusive within the community.

The quickest fix to the weapon tool issue is yes bringing them back but making them tradeable as much as I hate the idea. The cannon tools ruin combo hits and made ESF a clusterfuck and ruined tournaments these should never be brought back OR put the unbugged version in the game the one that caps penetration at 1616.
The most important thing is that the lone people that have them already CANNOT be the only ones in the game with it.THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE and if OG Planet follows in Netmarble footsteps on this they will fail too.

OGP is not that dumb to purchase the rights of UWO global from NM without including access to the asian market. Why would they give up a significant portion of the revenue available to them in buying the global license? Their other games are different. They have seperate rights to different regions, which is why they have US server and EU server seperate for their games. NM held the global rights to UWO. The tools that allowed the so-called "God Guns" A) Were an item for a limited time in the NC shop and B) Glitched, they had no failures even after 30 of them were used on a set of guns, and also had a 2k penetration cap, way higher than could be reached by the ones that can be obtained in-game as an ESF reward. Just curious tho, can the reforging tools for weapons & armor be obtained in-game by any means? Those were also in the NC shop at the same time these reforging tools came out.

there was a pretty detailed plan on how to get them from the challenge but even so the finesse grinding is the deal breaker you need finesse r2 r3 and r5 aside from all the merchandise knowledge techs r1 and 2 and the traps r1 and 2 its really hard to farm them from an alt like seriously and honestly not hard because it takes skill hard because it will take stupid long to do anyone saying they can farm it i bet you you will not be able to get more than 2 sets and you will be dying from broedom if dungeons are boring this is dungeons boring times 100 xD

If your weapon isnt forged yet, you can take ducat equal to the price as security.
As your weapon is getting forged, you will have difficulties in agree on the value of security.
First stage is quite easy, 2nd and 3rd getting difficult more and more.

Thus, the unit price of the tool cannot be determined. IMO, value of offering 50 tools at once is probably at least 20 times higher than that of 5 tools.

dude, you know how long it takes to get 50 techs? even if you fleeted 5 alts and did nothing but grind techs on lvl 4 bandits outside of a town it would still take you a week++ of playtime (which translates into weeks unless you grind 24/7 with no rest) because you need finesse, which unless you chain 3-4 you only get 2 points per fight.

and no having all the r1 techs in every weapon and merchandise and traps wont be enough, you need at least 7 r2 techs (hence the finesse grind)

I say, for anyone willing to put themselves through that kind of hell, they deserve their 50 tools. And no I won't sell it to you for 20B I'd sell it to you for 40B given the weeks of my life i spent grinding it.

I would be very very wary of paying anyone to upgrade your weapons.

Chances are the weapon you want to upgrade is already very expensive on it's own (Excal, gay bulge, Bow of light/Generals Bow) costing 1-2B on their own. On top of that you need to hand over money to the upgrader.

If I were a scammer, I would take your money AND your weapon via a trash alt, transfer it through 3 other alts then delete all the alts I transferred them through to throw GMs or OGP off my track.

aka, you lose both your 20B AND your weapon. Scammers will thank you.

The only thing that is definitely going to happen, is that one day, far into the future, UWO, like many other MMOs, will be deemed unworthy of continued operation by Koei. They will close it down worldwide; everything in it will be wiped clean, and all that we'll have to show for our hours/days/months/years of work, will be memories, screenshots, and possibly friendships that will continue beyond the game.

I can sympathize, Francine. This isn't really much of a solution; it affects all players, even those who weren't trying to farm them 24/7 and the like. Removing forged gear is also a very nasty thing to do to folks that have invested their own funds into keeping the game operating. Well... I won't let it keep me down for long, but that's just something I think needed to be said.

I think it's a bit harsh to call the people who don't understand the game mechanics, crybabies, and it's not right to call the people who want the game to be the same as the original, faggots. The bottom line is only a few overly-vocal people made a stink about them because they don't understand how to counter them and how the game naturally progresses. It's really not a big deal. But it is being made a big deal when the GM's listen to the wrong people and now we have this imbalance. Put the tools back in the game. Put them back in the shop. i think that the request for a balanced game is legitimate, and that the valiant should be rewarded more than the one who spent lots of money...and comments like some of the above i have seen is just the mark of arrogance of ppl who debase the value of this community...But i understand that for keeping alive a game ,money of players are needed and dunno own a server to be run to ban all the NC stuff. So i can just say let's forget uthopism, but work for a compromise where pay2win is not all...For sure TB reintroduction is not goin in this sense, and gave a lots of troubles with antivirus/game guard cause poor scripting. Maybe some do not agree, and i spare comments like "get a life" or "visit a mercenary partner to unleash yr frustrations", but the margin for ppl to get competitive and play all careers at higest lvl without recurring at RL cash has become too tiny. to make my previous discourse more propositive i could make some examples i think could be worth of discussion and thinking about:
1- raise a bit the requirements of NC version of ships to be sailed...i think outrageous that a normal ironsides requires the considerable 70battle lvl and a FIS or MIS just41max if they goes to 52-55 i think nobody will be argue (apart noobs aspiring powerplayers).
2- diversificate more the events: ESF is something that gives court ranks,means more power and vault spaces....then ban all the nc ships and stuff from thefights and make BC even more heavily PVP inclined where stuff like NC is not only allowed but more necessary with a similar formula of ESF
3- i strongly dislike godgunz and godsword, cause they means you wanna an advantage without having skill...a serious cannoneer if has skill maxed and simply mastergunz will kill ya anyway with one shot in the bow...so why needing em?polish you skills and try again thx. Wanna use em, keep em for BC if you can't refrain to unleash yr testosteron.
4- sadly too many around, but all the gen coats or similar stuff people have are bought, not earned completing memorial album...give em a shot, but no more of them or similar in TB thanks. Let's people sweat a bit to have such prizes and go to plunder/search items at 4 corners of the world!The few rlly skilled crafters here around can make better gear but the overload of nc stuff precludes em markets cause everyone wants something that makes him feel/be better than he/she really is.
5- Worst of all are the tools that grants a GS in making something, cause that has become the definitive killing of traders and crafter profession...glad they removed them. NO MORE PLS. Nowadays many ppl have crafting skills just for beauty and to boast "i'm good"...
Do not think this is whining or being extremist, just thinking that with some small limit pay2win followers and "purists" of the game can cohexist without always bringing themselves to hostility lvls that are unpolite and unbearable. If both renounce to something i think all we get along better

I love how some of you see the writing on the wall for forging gear and just can't stand it. If it doesn't matter for the game to have them, why does it matter for the game NOT to have them? That's the issue even with fully trained skills and superior tactics they STILL could not compete with these forge tool users unless they bought the tools aswell in addition the cannons killed the fun and complexity of sea battle by making it 1 or 2 hit kill. Should never HAVE to buy an item to compete especially in a FREE TO PLAY GAME everyone needs an equal chance without spending money. Also they are ALOT of forge gear users still running around RC, PAC all known for using sorry to those companies not trying to start a flame war just stating a fact that forge users still exist and in great number.

Viking isnt the only player to have forged weapon. There's many many many many more forge weapon user than you think, but most of them are too weak to make their forged weapon noticeable, they're so weak that you thought they used normal weapon, but only when you take a closer look that you realize they were using forged.

Im not in favor of keepking the tools. But its been months that the smithy tools have been discussed for. And its gona take another while to get them fixed. OGP and their GMs make their decision, not the noobs, so meanwhile please keep your mouth shut for a better gameplay, stop whining.

If the tools were still around everyone would stop QQ'ing. When they were obtainable in game, alot did.. Now their gone and resellers QQing more.

People havn't sailed like you pretend to think for a long time now. Its not just the forge tools. I sail through lawless waters/hostile waters daily rarley do i see people.. At the moment EA should be slam packed with grinders. not that many really.
