At the special shipbuilding screen at the Shipyard master you can use the Reset Performance button. It removes all improvements and frees up the ship's skill slots. Nice thing to use if your new MAV came with flotsam Search =(

Guys, if I have a ship and I upgrade with country panel then I use this Special Shipbuilding Dismantlement Techniques, my ship upgrade slot will return to 0/X but colour and dura from country panel still the same.

Am I corrent?

Yes, you are correct.
Once you get a boat, and panel it. You can dismantle off the mods, making the boat 0/X again. Then you go back and put on the good mods.

A small warning: when you use this item, it will reset the ship's max cargo/effective range to default, as if you bought it directly from the shipyard. You can fix this by modding the ship and choosing a new value for the effective range.

@theo, prices should be around 100mil for a player to dismantle your ship, but be warned, you must trust the player who is going in dismantle or improve your ship 100%, maybe your company SB or NC buyer. this item isnt tradable, so you have to hand your ship over to the player with the dismantle item.

i think it depends on whether its a NC ship or not, and whether you have the lvl requirements to sail the standard ship equivalent

if you dismantled before the rules changed for ships regarding ship handling prof, then yes the prof would have been reset to 0, but after the prof rules, you can reset and exchange ships without losing the ship handling prof. which i think is great since im always swapping ships especially for ESF and i used to have to produce for a day to raise prof again.

original ship skill and hull material are the only things that survive a SSDT reset. everything else gets set back to default and bonus stats revert to zero.

30 mil is as crazy as saying 13, they sell from 15 to 20. You don't have to exaggerate to make your point. it's the nanban purvey tickets that are setting the bar right now anyway, and they do NOT sell for 3 mill each, they're 5 mil, which makes 1 usd = 125M ducats.

you will lose all skills, improves except the ship material panel which stays, so if you have an NC battle ship, panel it with a military panel, then dismantle before improving, or same with trade/adv NC ships, panel with teak panel(fastest material) then dismantle for improving

you will lose all optional skills i meant, original skills from original shipbuilding permits(200 Patriot Awards) stay after dismantle, but original can always be changed.

Please be careful when fusing ships. The shipwright dismantle option is not to reset your ships to 0/5 etc, you do this through the shipyard master, special shipbuilding, reset performance and use this Special Shipbuilding Dismantlement Technique item from astro shop.

The shipwright dismantle will destroy your ship in return for blueprints.
Sad to say that ive seen 2 players lose their ships to the shipwright thinking dismantle would reset performance.

It's paramount that KOEI/OG should release a detailed guide on Ship Fusion due to the complexity of the process otherwise more people would lose more ships accidentally.

Before Custom SB, it was essential to use it on UWO ships in order to remove an unnecessary skill and gain one more improvement oppotunity.
But now we can freely reset ship skills and UWO ships appears from ticket with No. of improvement 0/x instead of 1/x.
I dont see significance of SSIR. Is it used only when it is ill-planned or suffers from bad luck?
