-5k fame for each class
So for example if you have 20k fame for each class and you defect to France. You will only have 15k each afterwards.
And hostile with Venice, I believe that you'll still be white though. You are just not able to enter Venice until relations goes up :)

To defect venice to france without an nc item you'd need an aide with french correspondence. Then you'd need to correspond until you're at Trust status (1-2 days of corresponding all day). When you defect you'll get 5000 noteriety, turn orange, and lost 50k fame in each type.

It would be worthwhile to defect Ottoman and then invest and defect your way down to france if that's what you really want to do. (Though france? ... really?)

anyone knows why can't i defect to weaker country? I am portuguese now.
I counted the cities today:
Otto 40
Portugal 29
Spain 22
France 22
England 21
Venice 20
Dutch 7

I don't have any active quest, and i have ~246k total fame.
I defected to Portugal from Venice about 10 days ago, and i have normal relationships with Spain, France, Dutch. I have enmity with my former country Venice. And I have goodwill with England (i am doing correspondence).
Since defection to Portugal I've been in London, Seville, Marseille, Venice palaces about 10 times, but I don't see Defect button.
But I see that button in Amsterdam.

What am i missing?

Just so you don't miss it again, NO. You cannot defect Ottoman with these. It will not work. You must do it the hard way. You cannot do it any other way. Is this clear enough? Secret defection application item will not work for defecting to Ottoman. I can probably figure out a few more ways to say it, just let me know.
