    Since observe dosn't go up in rank not much point in having skill if you can just mass buy these, can hold 400 at a time if you store 200 in your bag.

    Having the observe skill might still be useful. I'm not 100% sure, but having only this item stocked will probably not flash the map discovery locations, and I really enjoy that feature.

    The maps make their own "observe" when using them in the relevant zone, AliBayan.

    "observe" or its item equivalent is used only for quests.
