You can take panama canal but the travel time (20mins) will also count in the total hrs needed (2hrs) to reach Edo port. If you want free 14900NC, then this is worth it. :)

You need a fast ship to achieve this:

Naples -> Seville = 10-15mins
Seville -> Porto = 15-20mins
Porto -> Panama (Canal) = 20mins

This is already almost 1hr.

Panama -> Edo = 1hr???

Maestro sails don't have a turn penalty at least. I think 150-200m is reasonable for the event/MA sails too. A couple extra points, a -1 to turn, everything is a tradeoff.

I didn't use the Panama channel, too, and was like 80% loaded with goods for the Nanban trade. Especially the Panama => Edo part has just excellent winds.

It's a lil late to be debating it, with the event over. I agree, with decent non NC ships (maybe TC and up) it shouldn't have been too arduous for anyone. I towed a few fleets with my ETC, and got it done in just over an hour, 2 hours total for the return trip. No canal, faster to go around SA. That margin was useful though, as on one run we had a few DC issues.

No, the NC price in this case is not representative, as the sails in the NC shop are NOT TRADEABLE, and also CANNOT BE PLUNDERED.

This is currently the ONLY way to get a tradeable one, and only one per character, and you have to grind sewing to hit r14 on each character you want a sail from.

The other source of tradeable 26/30 sails was the cat event some months ago. Quite a few were claimed in this event, but it was a long time ago now, and very few of these sails remain on the market.

Given the scarcity, if you want a tradeable 26/30 sail, you're going to have to pay for it. Everyone who can't drop $15 USD for each sail they want is after these sails. Whatever you think of these players' budgets, the fact is they're the majority.

If you find someone willing to part with one of these for less than 1b, jump on it, because only a fool would let them go so cheap in the current ingame economy.

Uwo Reserve Bank Ship Switch-A-Roo Scam

He contacted players after they express interest in a ship then. URB alt shows up and offers them a crap ship just named the Ship you want hoping they click accept without noticing. Once it was called to his attention he said it was a misunderstanding and then he asked for their login information so he can deliver the ship later. Once they give it he logged in and cleaned out their accounts of all money and possesions. He also asks you to log into the URB site hoping you use the same login for your UWO account which he uses to try to hack into it. Also there are viruses and trojans and keyloggers on the site dont go there or it will steal your password.

If bids were too low he would win the auction with his alt so he would not lose the ship for any less than he wants.

Before the migration Savvia tricked asiasoft players because they thought they were not migrating to OGP so they sold URB their possessions and accounts only to have Savvia withdraw the funds from his bank cancelling the payment to the Asiasoft users thus screwing all of them out of their money and items! He uses this tactic with regular purchases for URB as well

Uwo Reserve Bank Ship Switch-A-Roo Scam

He contacted players after they express interest in a ship then. URB alt shows up and offers them a crap ship just named the Ship you want hoping they click accept without noticing. Once it was called to his attention he said it was a misunderstanding and then he asked for their login information so he can deliver the ship later. Once they give it he logged in and cleaned out their accounts of all money and possesions. He also asks you to log into the URB site hoping you use the same login for your UWO account which he uses to try to hack into it. Also there are viruses and trojans and keyloggers on the site dont go there or it will steal your password.

Savvia Uwo Reserve Bank Cruel Extortion Scam

Once player send player the paypal information. Savvia will send the player 1 cent to their account and takes a screenshot of it. He then shows up and demands ships from the player if you refuse he threatens to have the screenshots posted on the forums to have your ship confiscated and your account ultimately banned. Most just decide to give him the ship

He will actually give you the ship take a screenshot of it and demand you pay and give him additional ships and money. If you refuse he will threaten to post the screenshot to the Forums so the Gm confiscates the ship you bought and ultimately bans your account as well.

Mr.Tuggles a player in UWO was contacted by Savvia asking him to sell ships to him. Mr.Tuggles told Savvia he had a friend named Lavendermyst that loans him ships. Savvia said whatever you can scam from him we can sell it on UWO Reserve Bank Site and split the profit, Mr.Tuggles agreed. After Mr.Tuggles borrowed enough boats he gave them to Savvia to be sold on URB Site screwing LAvendermyst out of 3 ships. Mr.Tuggles was later banned for his scamming.

Savvia's Alt Bidding Auction Scam

Savvia attempted to copy CRZY_PSYCO_CHICK's Auction Business. He began holding auctions and then he would login with his alt and raise the bids against the real bidders and if the real person did not bid again he would drop out of the bidding with his alts Idonae and Bragr and give the ship to the player at the highly infalted price. If bids were too low he would win the auction with his alt so he would not lose the ship for any less than he wants.

Savvia aka UWO Reserve Bank's CPC impersonation Scam

Savvia tried to pretend UwO Reserved bank was owned by CPC hoping that her reputation would get people to buy from URB again after their reputation was in ruins. Once this failed Savvia created a CRZY_PSYCO_CHICK clone named CRZY-PSYCO-CHICK and tried to trick people by asking for their items to auction when in fact he would just steal the items.

Savvia Excalibur Run Scam

Savvia took newbie players on the quest for the Excalibur Sword quest. Once he got the noobs the sword he would offer them 10 million ducats for the sword. noobs not knowing the sword was worth many many times that sold him the sword only to find out he was scammed. Savvia scammed many swords this way. Savvia then tried to blame the user Montador for the crime which in fact was all Savvia's doing.
