After some testing, doesn't seem to work as well as Military Camouflage skill. I was attacked a lot by SEA and indian NPCs. However, it does seem to be able to work as a caution/high lookout/area caution replacement since I wasn't ambushed by non-visible NPCs while I was sailing. Though, more testing would be good =)

Yes i can confirm that, i've tested sailing for like one week with this item equipped, and i still got attacked with as same chance as i don't sail with this. I think it worked more to prevent non-visible NPC ambushes..

This should work similar to pet like Magpie. I got "Reduce incidence of attacks" r1 in ornament room and it works as caution + it gives u chance to avoid atacks of VISIBLE npc. U get message that NPC wanted to atack u but it got prevented.
This also blocks formidable enemies in BR cause caution.

I gave the H.W. sprinkler to my toon since this item has storage+2. I couldn't be ambushed by formidable fleet for 30 mins in BR. Please Never Ever equip this weapon when you are under battle report.
