1. Medici and Michelangelo
When Michelangelo was young he stayed in the famous House of Medici and entered the academy there. But, after he became famous as an artist he did not get along well with the House of Medici any longer. Apparently he had a lot of trouble with popes from the House of Medici as well... I wonder if it would be rude to ask Michelangelo himself about those days?

2. Wall painting deemed heretical
After finishing Genesis I continued some work in architecture that I had put on hold. I wanted to work on building and sculpting things but the pope asked me to paint another mural for the church... I couldn't say no of course. I spend five years painting and finished what I believed to be a great work only to have it called heresy. I had to completely redo everything.

3. Art or heresy?
Michelangelo was again requested to paint another mural for the church after just finishing his "Genesis". However, he was told that his work was heresy upon completion and had to redo everything afterwards.
The painting is in the church in Naples. I should go have a look at the walls inside the church there.
