The creature you are to invstigate apparently lives on the island Hobart is on. It looks like a dog and is very aggressive. It seems that the people there are worried about their livestock being harmed. If they could know more about how it lives, they might be able to establish some kind of countermeasure. For the sea route to Hobart, ask a Port Official.

Route to Hobart
A sea route to Hobart? Head east from this town along the land. When you reach the easternmost point, then take a south-westerly course along the coast. After sailing for a while, you'll see a huge island to the south. Hobart is in the southeast section of that island. It's quite a long journey, so be sure to prepare fully.

Attacking a cattle
Ah, you came to investigate the dog with a pouch on its body. Then let me tell you what i know. That creature is a carnivore. Besides small wildlife, it attacks and eats livestock. Because of that, several of the people in this town are also its victims. I havn't heard of it attacking any humans, though. So that's the one bright spot...

Drinking blood
A dog with a pouch on his body? Those buggers have caused me all sorts of trouble, attacking my beloved livestock and making a meal out of them. I've only seen one once at the scene of the crime, but it looked like it was sucking its victim's blood. I can't help but get the willies from it... I'd certainly never forget the striped pattern on its back.
