Finding a friend
You came. Thank you. I want you to find a partner for my Master. I say partner but anyone who can help my Master will do.

Memories of a fisherman
My Master pulled me off the streets, where I was stealing food to live. He taught me to fish and made me a man. I owe him my life. My master had a son, and he raised him all by himself. He just wanted his son to follow in his footsteps as a fisherman.

Leaving the nest
The son was a successful fisherman. He was his father's pride and joy, his right arm. But the boy left his father and sailed to the far west, even though his father tried to stop him. My Master was furious at his son for a time, but then he received news...bad news.

Sorrow of a parent
My Master's son had gone missing off in a mist covered strait to the far west. His boat was later found adrift, with no sign of anyone in it. It crushed my Master. He stopped going out to sea and spent all his time drinking. It's been one year. And just recently he started sailing once again.

The Master Leaves the student
He says he's going west to the ocean where his son was lost and fish until he dies. He says that's all he can do. That's how much he loved his son. So much more than he loved me. But that's ok. I'm not sad. I just...worry about him.

The best a student can do
I worry about him. See I know him. I've watched him a long time. He is a great man, especially when he has someone aiding him. So I want you to go and find someone willing to aid him. Find him a partner. Someone around, say, Santo Domingo would be good.

What about a dog?
Partner to a fisherman? Sure there are plenty around that can fish, but I'm not sure how many would be interested after they had listened to the details of your request. So, how about a dog as a partner? I hear there is a breed at an island to the far north that is a good size, has stamina and can swim. Not only that, but...

A healing existence
It can be tamed and is known to help with fishing. It's fairly well thought of. And I know that might not sit well with your fisher friend, but given the circumstances, I'd say that having a helpful animal around would help more than having some unknown person there. Don't you think so?

Master and student
We learned in Santo Domingo of a fisher dog from the area north of the Caribbean. That dog might be the answer. It could provide aid for both fishing and heal the Master's grief. But we'll need to investigate a bit to relieve any possible worries of the client. SO we head to the island in the bay north of Nassau. After landing, we head north to investigate the area of the Camp Site. After that, we'll have to go and report.
