I imagine it may be the name of the region at the time, but I can't find any documents that confirm it for sure. There may be a book at the archives in Hanyang. You should talk with the scholar there.

                        The "Gaya" in the literature was a nation that flourished due to iron once existed in this region, and was ultimately absorbed by Silla. You might be able to discover iron from Gaya. Go to the outskirts of Pohang and investigate.
