1. Wide Ruins
I've heard those ruins are quite massive. The Irrawaddy River takes up an important position in that region. The ruins apparently spread out from a stretch of plains located midstream off of the river's east bank. Please go first to Pegu, which lies in that region, and gather some facts.

2. Ruins of Buddhism
Ruins? Yes, we have some. They're Buddhist ruins. Starting many years ago, Buddhism has been firmly established in this area. Those ruins were supposedly built in that period. There are a number of small towers and decrepit temples. If you talk to the townspeople, I think you'll hear some other things, too.

3. Various shapes
There are towers of many sizes there. I hear they number about a few thousand. And the structures have different colours like white or reddish brown. There's a Town Official here who knows a lot about the ruins. You should ask him.

4. History of ruins
It appears construction began on the ruins hundreds of years ago and it spread rapidly. The dynasty that ruled there was led by a line of kings deeply devoted to Buddhism. There buildings probably represented their piety in a phisical form. There's an inscription written about them. Go thrugh the gate and proceed to the north. You'll see it written on a stone.

5. Table of Kings
"At the behest of King Narapatisithu, the inscriptions, which were, up to then, written in languages such as old Mon, Pali and Sanskrit, were changed to Burmese. Alterations were made to the style of architecture, and towers and rock-hewn temples with bright colours were constructed."

6. Ruins are in the interior
You accepted a job to investigate the ruins near Pegu. According to information you received in town, the ruins are Buddhist structures whose construction began hundreds of years ago. You also learned some background details by reading an inscription written about an ancient dynasty. Find the ruins and report to the Scholar.
