You want to know where Merlin is buried? If I remember correctly, Merlin was buied alive by the spirits of the lake. I think it near Glastonbury, east of Plymouth. That area was swampland in the past and was call "Inis Avalon," meaning "apple island." The spirits of the lake are believed to have lived in that area.

You can find massive boulders between Stonehenge in Salisbury, which lies east of Glasonbury. 
Merlin was believed to have been buried alive under a large rock at the bottom of the lake by the spirits there. If this was the case, then it's very likely his staff is buried nearby.

If you're looking for that rock, you should disembark east of here. I was thinking though, since Merlin was a druid, his staff would have been made from evergreen oak.
