I hear you have discovered the island thought to be Hawaiiki! Fortunately, the location of this island will be good for a supply port for crossing the Pacific Ocean. Fortunately also, the town official of Amboina himself has agreed to explore this island himself. And he has apparently found an interesting tradition. Go and see him!

1. It wasn't Hawaiki
Your eyes are glimmering with hope... Well, I hate to tell you this but based on the results of your report I have determined that island is not Hawaiki. Rather clearly, too... The reason being is that the people of that island also believe the same legend of the people of Aotearoa-- that they too came from Hawaiki.

2. Where is the true Hawaiki?
It is clear upon first glance that the culture of Tahiti and Aotearoa are very similar. Tahiti may be the Hawaiki that the people of Aotearoa refer to, but the true origin must be out there somewhere... That's what I have to find. But it's not like I didn't get any gain out of this. Maybe I'll explain that...

3. People with incredible seafaring skills
In Tahiti there are stories of people who migrated even further east from there. If you travel east of Tahiti you might possibly end up reaching the eastern side of the Pacific Ocean. These people must have amazing sailing skills! The Port Official has all the information about these stories. Go ask him for more details.

4. Tradition imparted in Hawaiki
You want to know more about a story passed down in Tahiti about the people who migrated east...? Well then, read through this report. This was supposedly passed down in a place the Tahitian people call Hawaiki. Of course, nobody knows where this Hawaiki place is so I don't know if you'll be able to get any concrete information from it or not, but it's better than nothing I guess...

5. New land
The land of Hiva, near Hawaiki, was ravaged by natural disasters. The sage Haumaka travelled to the direction from when the sun rises in his dreams and found a new land.
He named that land "the star-gazing isle". The king of Hiva, Hotu Matua, then sent seven emissaries to the island.

6. Seven statues
The emissaries reached the island, two were left there and the other five returned to Hiva.
King Hotu Matua decided to migrate everyone over to the newly discovered island. King Hotu Matua erected seven statues, one for each of the emissaries. Those statues stand looking in the direction of their homeland, Hiva.

7. Statue that looks at the country of Hiba
Since it's an island, it's probably in the waters of the Pacific Ocean to the east of Tahiti. The seven statues gaze towards Hiva... That could be your best clue. But, given the sailing ability of these people the area of water you'll have to search in could be huge...

8. Island that sees the stars
In Tahiti there is a legend that claims that people migrated to the "star-gazing isle" to the east of the land of Hiva. That island should be somewhere in the waters east of Tahiti.
The trans-Pacific sea route could use that island as its last stop if I could just find it...
