Bird like a peacock
So I thought, yes, let's find a bird similar to a peacock, with different coloured feathers. That would probably feel different, yet would still be beautiful. I heard that such a bird exists in a peninsula east of Ceylon. Please find this bird, and hopefully gather some knowledge on how to care for it.

An easy to keep bird
You want to raise a bird, but you're not going to eat it? That's odd. But I guess this bird is just the right one for that. The feathers have these beautiful eye-shaped patterns, and they get along with people well. It eats almost anything and keeping them in a pair is easy because couples get along well.
