A Father's Lute
No Expiration
Athens Adventurer's Guild
We have received a request from Gesualdo of Naples.
He wants you to investigate Italian lutenists... Actually, I'm not sure why he sent this request here to Athens rather than Naples... But anyway, why don't you go talk to Muline at the Tavern. There's the matter of the harp, as well, if you remember.

The Harp
Oh, so that's what's been happening with the harp I lent Gesualdo. But come to think of it, it did have a rather strange tone to it.
So you came just to tell me about the harp? No? Italian lutenists?

Nothing Comes to Mind
I'm sorry. I do not know anything about that.
Since we're talking about it Italian's, I'm sure Gesualdo knows much more about them than me. Will you please tell him I'm sorry for me?

Through the Harp
Ah, that is fine. I merely asked because she had lent me that harp. I thought she might have heard something about lutenists, as well. That's why I sent my request to Athens. Still I guess it would be faster to search this area anyway. Well, I couldn't find anything here in Naples. Maybe in the Archives of Genoa?

Lute Sage
Just the other day, I read a book by a lutenist. He explained his theories on music through the conversations of the lutenist, Fronimo, and his audience, Eumathes. The writer's name was... "Vincenzo Galilei" of Pisa... Wait.. Could that be...?

Memories of a Father
Ah, yes. My father's "Fronimo Dialogo". My father could make even dissonance look beautiful on paper. I believe you can see some of it in that book. Hmm... I haven't played quite a while but I think I will.
Would you like to stay and listen? The lute I received from my father has an exceptional voice.

Galileo's Father
Galileo Galilei's father Vincenzo was apparently an exceptional lutenist. His lute was left here in this house. I shall ask to see it.

Galilei's Lute 3 () Exp: Fame:
Galileo's father Vincenzo was a lutist who advanced his own unique theories in music. His lute was said to control even dissonance. It looks normal, but…
