        No.4122

        Relationship between desert and ocean
        No Expiration
        Seville Adventurer's Guild
The request is from the Lima Port official. It's about research into the climate around Lima. Normally a desert doesn't get much rain, but that isn't the case around here. That sort of thing might be easier to find out in Europe, so the request came here. Try asking the Lisbon Scholars.

Currents near the desert Sinec you're a Voyager, you know that the ocean has currents. Well, apparently there's a current out there that is drying up its surroundings. That desert lies along the coast, and because it doesn't rain there it may now be completely dried out. [IMG:01] 2. Cannot compete with nature I see. So it's the current's influence... Then i guess there's nothing we can do. Once we know the problem is, we can know for sure that giving up is our only option. ...So, i give up. You can't fight mother nature. Man, it's so hot today... Just like yesterday... [IMG:06] 3. Investigation of currents There is a current in the ocean region near the desert south of Lima that is apparently preventing the rain from falling. I should go investigate the area following the coast down south from Lima and see for myself. • The Humboldt Current ★★★★ (Geography) Exp:740 Fame:305
A cold current that flows from the southern tip of the South American continent, north along the western coast, up to the Gulf of Guayaquil. It is slow and extremely cold. Fish travelling north on this current make wide areas along the south-western coast of South America fertile fishing grounds.
