          The area east of the Balkan peninsula is called the Thrace region. People known as Thracians lived here long ago, and a weapon they used was apparently rather interesting. Would you please find out about this weapon. I think the scholar at Athens probably knows more about this subject than we do

                        1. A long sword
                        The people of Thrace ancient used swords as large as a man in battle. They had a long blade and a then a haft of almost the same lenght, and were used to attack the legs of enemy horses or decapitate foes. Unfortunately, however, there are only records of these weapons, no physical evidence.

                        2. Can the sword still be found?
                        Having been defeated by the kingdom of Macedonia, Thrace fell under their command. Do uyou think one might postulate that the unique weapons they possessed were thus absorved by Macedonia? If so then something very close in nature to those weapons may still be found around the ruins of Vergina...

                        3. Sword that sleeps in ruins
                        Thracians are said to have lived in the Thrace region in the east of the Balkans.
                        Having been conquered by the kingdom of Macedonia there is a chance that the unique swords the Thracians used can still be found in the ruins in hte Macedonia region. Head there and search for yourself.
