"Sancai" refers to a type of ceramics with three kinds of coloured glaze. He hear about it from a seafarer who came frome the sea called the East Mediterranean Sea. According to him, the Sancai technique came from far away in the east. Maybe you can find the details out in the big city of Hanzhou.
