      Food to support Edo
      No Expiration
      Jakarta Adventurer's Guild
An Official in Edo has requested a study of the fishing industry in the surrounding area to help with town development. I imagine they're aimin' to help support the daily diet of the people. Sakai is at the center of all distribution in the area. Ask around the port over there and I'm sure you can find some useful information.

                1. Superior Fisherman Heading for Edo
An investigation concerning food in Edo? So that's why the nobles in Edo called all us fisherman to gather. He wants to know if our fishing methods can be used in the waters near Edo as well. Maybe you should ask the seafarer directly. I'm sure he'll talk to you.

                2. Ride the Current
Not all of these fisherman are responding to a call by the nobility. I hear that some of the fishermen from south of Sakai, from a place called Kishuu have ridden the northeast currents up here to live. They say this isn't the first time though. A long time ago, a fierce storm blew a Kishuu boat all the way to the shore near Edo.

                3. Sardine Fishing out of the Bay
They say that the fisherman in the boat at the time introduced seine fishing to the area. You can catch a lot of sardines near Edo bay, but the nets help to increase that number impressively. And, do you have something to say, Master Merchant? You look like you do.

                4. Usage of Sardines
Sorry. I couldn't help but hear you mention sardines. I heard recently that sardines are good for more than just eating. They say they make good fertilizer for fields. It occurred to me that if you catch more sardines than you can eat, you can use them as fertilizer and grow better crops as well. In addition...

                5. Sardines Fried on the Long Beach
That place they fish is one long long beach. If you use the net to pull in a lot of fish there, the amount of food would take off. And that means there would be a lot of food to eat in Edo. And Edo would continue to grow.

                6. Beach that Supports Edo
In investigating the fishing in the area of Edo, I ran across information about using sardines as fertilizer. If the amount of sardines caught increased, it seems that the farms of the area would also produce more. The long beach facing the open seas should be an excellent place to fish. We will investigate the shores to the east of Edo and report.
