      Fluttering Light among the Waves
      No Expiration
      Hangzhou Adventurer's Guild
Do you know much about ghost stories? We got this crazy request from a seafarer to investigate a reported sighting of a silver will-o'-the-wisp seen in the waves from a biat in the dead of night. These kinds of phenomenon aren't my forte. A famous seafarer much like yourself should be able to resolve this matter. Whaddya say? The seafarer is in Edo as we speak. I'm counting on you!

                          Frightening Memories
Pardon my saying this being that I'm the one who requested the job, but I don't want to replay the story out in my head. It gives me the heebie-jeebies just remembering what I saw that night. YOU! You need to solve this for me! I'm begging you! Promose me that you'll solve this case!

                          Ghost Story Time!
You'll do it for me?! It's a deal! Okay, so listen good 'cause I'm only going to say this once. It happened on the quiet waves under a full moon. I was heading away from the island on my ship. At first, it was just me alone with the silver reflections of the moon dancing on the water. It was very beautiful. Then I happened to notice a silver light to my left!

                          Dreadful Turn of Events
I thought to myself how peculiar it was. We don't have two moons. The sun wasn't out. As beautiful as the moon was, the jet-black night gave me a creepy vibe. Every fiber in my body screamed. "Run!!!" I grabbed the helm and put her to port. Just then...the silver light on my left followed after me!!!

The Rest is up to You!
I can't go on any further. It's too frightening to remember. I'm through talking about this... I wish you all the power to conquer this thing! Remember, you promised! Use any means necessary to put this matter to bed. I won't forget your promise to me!

                          All-Too Familiar Ghost Story
Pfffft, all the spooky talk is unnecessary!!! Sorry, I couldn't help but overhear your conversation. Actually, that fellow is far from the first one to speak of such phenomenon. Why just the other day, a seafarer back from Guam mentioned something similar. It seems that this may be worth checking out.

                          Adventurer Investigates Strange Phenomenon
Oh, THAT story. I ferried a European adventurer on my way back on a job from Chongqing and the fellow told me that very same story. About a supernatural silver light something-or-other floating in the waves. There've been other reports like this in towns along the shores of warm waters. The adventurer was concerned by this and also mentioned he was searching for a boat bound for Lima.

                          Big Mouth for T'ika
That fellow...he told me about the big fish... He said it reflected off the waves... The light... The mouth... As it opens its gaping mouth real wide to eat, a light flashes... That guy... He told me that he would fix me something to eat so I wouldn't go hungry but...the whole time I thought how much better it would be if I had a great big mouth like that fish...

                          Truth Behind the Strange Phenomenon
I think he was flirting with you. You're dense, you know that? That adventurer was really saying that the silver light floating in the waves was in fact a large fish mouth. He said that the fish emits light to attract prey. When an adventurer overheard that new information came in about the fish in Tumbes, he took off for there straight away.

                          Hard Story to Swallow
We got some information about reports of strange lights spotted on the surface of nearby waters. Just as soon as the adventurers caught wind of this, they all ran out to hire up seafarers for their own boats. This whole story is very fishy to me. The mouth lights up, the body is nowhere to be found, it can only be spotted at night... If we have a shot at seeing one of these up close. I wouldn't mind hitching a ride on one of the boats fixing to head out there right now.

                          Truth Behind the Strange Phenomenon
There is a natural explanation for this ridiculous phenomenon. The most probable explanation is that light is being emitted around a fish's mouth to attract prey. But I wonder if such a creature even exists. Since nobody has seen the something-or-other in its entirety, we cannot know for sure. And nobody's seen it probably because it mostly dwells in the deep sea. I need to find this fish and see it with my own eyes.

A shark that inhabits relatively warm waters in the Pacific and Indian Oceans. Despite its enormous body few have seen it, thus whether the sighted specimens were young or full-grown is unknown. It seems to feed by sucking various matter into its gaping mouth.
