      Silver and a river
      No Expiration
      Portobelo Adventurer's Guild
We received a request to investigate a river. It appears to have some connection with the metal silver, but the more specific details are all a secret. Well, it definitely has to do with money... If you ask around in Rio de Janeiro, you might just learn something. So will you do it?

Quite famous? Think that bunch properly cased it? If it's that river, everyone living round there knows it well, and if it's a Spaniard, a light should go off just hearing the name. From here follow the coast south and there is a town called "Buenos Aires". Better to ask around there. [IMG:01] 2. River of silver Huh? Silver? River? Oh, you mean Rio de La Plata, right. Well, "La Plata" in Spanish really does mean "silver." Still, I don't know why it's called that. I think that by asking some knowledgeable town officials you can find out. [IMG:01] 3. Gave name to your wish Well, well, inquiring about Rio de La Plata are we? If so, Mr Solis should know it well. As an explorer who's covered this whole area, surely he would be knowledgeable of the origins of "Rio de La Plata". [IMG:01] 4. Spotted shallows Hmm, Rio de La Plata, eh. How may years has it been since I discovered it now.... According to the local legend, there is a silver mine somewhere about the river. Some hopeful Spaniard then gave it the name "La Plata"; problem is no mine's been found yet. Very unfortunate that. [IMG:06] 5. Investigation of the Rio de la Plata There is no doubt that the object river of the requested investigation is the Rio de La Plata that runs close to Buenos Aires. Whilst the story is that there is no silver lode, just picking up and going home is out of the question. Minding the shoal, check it out to be sure. • The River Plate ★★★ (Geography) Exp:484 Fame:220
A large river that flows to the southeast coast of South America. Also called the River Plate. The inlet is extremely large, big enough for a battleship to sail in. However, it has a very shallow draft and even normal ships would be unable to navigate it.
