Rumours from the tavern
I heard in the tavern here that there was a creature with a strange pattern beyond the Bay of Bengal. And so, partly to enhance my collection of writings, I wish for you to look into this. Please begin by gathering information at the tavern.

Source of rumours
Ah yes, I've heard that story as well. A sailor from Machilipatnam came by a while ago and talked about a creature with an odd pattern. Of course, I don't see a great deal of wild animals, so I wouldn't recognize an odd pattern if I saw one.

A terrifying experience
It happened when I went deep into the Bay of Bengal on business, with a sailor from Calcutta. One of the branches nearby kept shaking, so I took a look at it. Then there was this huge creature staring right at us!

Fearsome cloud pattern
I won't forget that in a hurry. A piercing stare, and sharp fangs poking out of its mouth. And that cloud-like pattern all over its body... I got scared and... ran away by myself... I wonder if that sailor from Calcutta I left behind got away safely...

A close shave!
I'm alive, as you can see. But that was a terrifying experience. I was prepared to die, when I saw that thing. But it just closed its eyes and, believe it or not, started snoring. I guess it already had its fill, so it was ready to sleep. And...

Beautiful cloud pattern
I watched it, for a while. When I looked closely, its face seemed cat-like, and it had an amazing pattern on its body. But while I was watching, it woke up, so I left in a hurry. I reported the details to the town official, so go ask over there.

Sailor's report
The sailor reported about an animal with a cloud pattern. He met it to the east of this town, north from the Bay of Bengal. If you find it while it sleeps, of course, you should be able to evade any danger.

Investigation of cloud patterned animal
The creature with the strange pattern is a giant cat-like creature with a cloud pattern all over its body. It will be a dangerous journey, but land at the north-eastern coast of the Bay of Bengal and investigate further.
