1. Heart melting lotus
Here, this lotus was picked this morning. Have you ever seen one of their flowers open? It does so very slowly. It's like a hardened heart being soothed. Or some people say it's like a crying child starting to smile. Well, I just smile naturallym too, whenever I see it.

2. Deliver it quickly
Oh, right. It was written in a letter that this lotus should be delivered to Ceylon. I don't really know why, but I'll entrust you to do it. I received a rare European fabric from the person who wrote the letter, so I went to a secret place just to pick this. Please deliver it as soon as you can.

3. Girl and lotus
A lotus? Aw... Did you know that, after a lotus blooms, its petals scatter after four days? It's just like the girl who met a man, made a medicine for him, was filled with worry and then died... It smiles for only a moment. Barely any time at all. But that's its destiny...

4. Siblings
So you went to the withered tree outside of town and saw written, "Once more, I will try to trust someone." That boy and his younger sister were left at the temple and thrown away by their foster parents. When they trusted someone, they were betrayed.

5. And that is why...
But the girl, who had forgotten how to trust people, believed in this man. And her brother did so, too. That's especially why I'll never forgive him for trampling all over their feelings. But, for what it's worh, I don't think his children deserve any blame...

6. Flower that never dies
You know, shortly after the girl died, one of the eyes remaining in the statue of a god suddenly broke to pieces. After picking up those fragments, her borther made lotus flower earrings out of them. Then that sapphire lotus allowed her to keep smiling... without ever scattering... Now make an offering of the lotus at the temple.

7. Epilogue
The harelequin brought closure to the sad old story by showing his feelings using a lotus. Is it merely a councidence that, in rememberance of his sister, the borther made earrings in that shape? Search for those earrings in the temple and make an offering of the lotus.
