      Records of a good king

      Aden Adventurer's Guild
Legend says that Darius I of Persia was a great leader who allowed the tribes he conquered to keep their own customs and religions. A scholar studying Darius I is looking for more records of his rule. Basra was once the site of a city in the Achaemenid Empire--you should be able to find something out there.

                1. Record written in an ancient language
Legend says that something written in an old language can be found in the land between this town and Hormuz. It doesn't sound completely unreasonable, since I heard there used to be a big nation around here. Maybe the Market Keeper would know more?

                2. Code
I heard a piece of legend from the old man in this town - "direction of the rising sun gives praise to the sun of our lands." I have no idea what that means. Give praise to the sun. Maybe there is a mural that worships the sun?

                3. Legend
They say Darius I of the Achaemenid dynasty of Persia was a great king. There is rumour that something written in an old language is located somewhere between Hormuz and Basra. Judging from the old legend I heard from the Market Keeper in Basra, I should search in the northern coast of the Persian Gulf.

Giant inscriptions found carved into the cliffs of the Behistun Mountains. They are said to commemorate the battle victories of Darius I of the Achaemenian Empire.
