얼마 전에 장사꾼에게 들었는데, 전에 이 지방에 왔을 때 이상한 조각상을 봤다더군. 사람 얼굴을 한 괴물의 조각상이었다던데. 흥미가 있다면 가보는 게 어떤가？ 이 도시의 동쪽에서 봤다고 했다네.

바스라 부근에서 이상한 조각상을 봤다는 얘기를 들었다. 괴물 조각상이라고 한다. 발견된 장소는 바스라의 동쪽, 페르시아 만 북쪽 해안인 것 같다. 상륙해서 부근을 찾아보자.
