Zanzibar Adventurer's Guild
We received a request from a Scholar who is researching about Indian mythology. In ancient India, no god was worshipped more than Indra, the god of war. I'd like you to gather some information about him. If you could find an old statue or painting, that would be excellent. Ask around Calicut.

Observe Search 1. The fallen god
In ancient India, Indra governed thunder and rain. He had a strong following as the mightiest warrior in battling demons but his position in Hinduism was displaced by Brahma and the big three.
There is a statue in a temple in Goa. Best have a look in some books first.
2. Indra in Prana
In Hindu scripts on Prana, Indra's strength is described as quite small.
This was possibly done to extol Vishnu and the big three. After Indra sent the devil into exile, it was Vishnu who facilitated his return to the world, always below the big three.
He is said to sink into depravity when drinking soma.
3. God who lost his rank
Although Indra used to have a strong following, his strength diminished as the big three gods took central roles in Hinduism.
In a temple in Goa there is a statue of Indra. Look to the right of it at the back.
