A black-eared beast? Ah yes, that animal is incredibly strong and fast, and takes well to people, so it is frequently used as a hunting animal in some places. I heard before that it lives outside Beirut. Perhaps you should ask around there.

A black-eared beast. They use the tufts of black hair at the tips of their ears to discern the sounds of their prey, and make incredible leaps to catch flying birds. Only a few claim to have seen it outside the town. It will not be an easy search.
