Whether different species or adaptation to environment, none can say. Search for a disembarkment point west of Abidjan, and then check out the area overgrown with giant, dead trees in the east.   A small hippopotamus only found in a few regions of West Africa. It looks like a hippopotamus' child, but they are all the same size, so it is likely a different type of hippo altogether. Its body colour is also much darker than a normal hippo. Usually found in forests or marshes, but not often found in water.
