1. 숲 속의 하마

하마라면, 통몸에 다리가 짧고 입이 큰 놈이지? 그것이라면 나무 그늘에서 우글거리는 것을 본 적이 있지. 하지만 강에서는 본 적이 없다네. 나 말고도 또 본 사람이 있지 않을까.



2. 몸은 그다지 크지 않다

결론 - 숲 속의 작은 하마

아비장 부근의 숲에는 강에 서식하는 하마보다 훨씬 작은 하마가 있는 것 같다. 다른 종류인지, 환경에 의한 변화인지는 알 수 없다. 아비장 서쪽에서 상륙할 수 있는 곳을 찾아, 북동쪽 거대한 고목 부근의 나무가 우거진 장소를 찾아 보자.
