Weapon that pierced a demon god
      No Expiration
      London Adventurer's Guild
I heard you know a lot about Indian mythology. I hear that there are so many gods that the scholars are having difficulty keeping track of them. So they have requested the assistance of the person who wrote the original report: you. Talk to the town scholar for more details.

Bible of Priest Hortrey 4 6 1 The Rigveda

                1. Research investigation
This report was very informative. Thank you so much. By the way, i'd also like you to do some research about the battle between the god Indra and the evil serpent Vritra as written in Rig Veda. You should be able to find all the information you need in Calicut.

                2. More than writing
You want to know about Rig Veda? I may be able to answer your questions if it's something I've researched before, but that depends... The story of Rig Veda was traditionally passed down by word of mouth. You'll probably get more useful information from the people around town instead of going through the book itself. Try meeting with people of higher social status... They should have the information you're looking for.

                3. Angel of destruction
This is a long story. Are you ready? ...A race of people that had been branded as demons prayed for Indra to be killed and so Vritra was summoned. Vritra caused a drought causing much turmoil for the people on earth. Faced with starvation the people could only watch as Vritra destroyed all in his path.

                4. Battle between the god Indra and Vritra
Indra finally answered the prayers of the people and came to their aid. He drank much Soma to give him strength and used a Vajra made from the bones of a rishi as weapon to battle against Vritra. Vritra was thought to be immortal but Indra discovered his weak spot and managed to defeat him.

                5. To the tavern
I only know how the story goes according to legend. The waitress in the Tavern might be able to tell you more.

                6. Symbol of the storm
It is said that Vritra rose from the dead many times after being defeated by Indra, and every time Indra would fight him again. That's gotta be a tough job! Vritra would always revive in the summer and so they say that symbolizes the summer storm. Isn't that right, Barkeep?

                7. Seasonal winds
That's right. Throughout spring the direction of the wind completely changes around Goa. And the Bay of Bengal to the east. If Indra and Vritra symbolize this storm, maybe the people of Goa might be able to give you more information.

                8. A child's idea
I wonder else Indra does besides fighting Vritra in the summer? Maybe he has a regular job somewhere like the rest of us. Or maybe he just rides in on the wind from the west, fights Vritra, the rides back to the east during autumn. I guess he keeps his big weapon in his house in the west then!

                9. Treasure of the sandstorm
Hahahaha! Kids sure do have an imagination don't they? But maybe he has a point. Aden, Muscat, heck all of Arabian is pretty much just sand right? The wind blows and covers up any tracks that might be left behind. So there could be something big out there that's just hidden from our view...

                10. Weapon that pierced a demon god
There could be something large out there hidden in the sandstorms of the desert. According to the child I talked to that could be Indra's weapon or Vritra himself. Of course, that was just his imagination talking but it could be worth looking into. I should land on the north-west coast of the Arabian Sea just east North-East of Aden and investigate any large mounds I see.
