Reprehensible Artist
Hmm, that sounds like Caravaggio's style of painting. He used to paint fruits and flowers in Cavalier's workshop before becoming independent and successful.
He has a quick fist, though, and is always in and out jail. I can't tell you where that painting is... Perhaps you can ask the merchant at the tavern.

The very definition of genius
Caravaggio eh? Yes, quite a character. I hear he paints without even sketching beforehand. An example of a true genius.
He's a rebellious sort, though, and his fruit basket painting were a challenge to societal norms, I think. It's at the church in Syracuse now.

I heard rumours that Carvaggio used a drowned corpse as a model for painting the Holy Mother's death. His painting of the fruit basket is located in the church of Syracuse. It's over to the left, behind the seat.
