마치 굵은 로프를 휘두르며 끌고 간 듯한 기묘한 무늬와 조금 전 발견한 동물의 털과 똑같은 것이 떨어져 있다. 아무래도 여기까지 이어진 흔적은, 싸움에서 이긴 쪽이 이동하면서 낸 자국인 것 같다. …이 흔적은 계속해서 서쪽으로 이어져 있다.

5. 신대륙 진출을 막는 위협의 조사
이동 시의 흔적 및 뼈도 남기지 않고 먹는 방법으로 보아, 이 생물의 위험도를 충분히 알 수 있을 것 같다. 신대륙 진출에 있어서 위협이 될 수 있는 생물이다. 남미 북동쪽 해안의 겹바위에서 서쪽방향으로 향하여 어떻게든 이 생물을 조사하자！
