Boss of the anteaters

Rio de Janeiro Adventurer's Guild
Since you investigated tamanduas, I really hope you can take this job. It seems that there's another animal that eats only ants. Rumor has it that it has a very unusual outward appearance. Ask a shopkeeper in this town for more information

Boss-like animal
Previously, I requested a study of an animal that eats only ants. But since then I went to different parts. And I came across the mother of the animal that was reported. It had the same narrow and long face and sharp claws. It was trying to break this soil mound with its claws.

As large as its body
Then it stuck its long face into the mound and seemed to be eating something. Maybe it was eating ants too. What surprised me most was its tail. Must have been about the same length as the whole body.

To Buenos Aires
I can't imagine what purpose that tail could serve, but I'm sure there must be something. Apparently there's someone in Buenos Aires who has seen the animal too.

Eating in the ant hill
Ah, that long tailed animal? I saw it somewhere half way between here and Rio de Janeiro. Along with other sailors from the town. It was in the middle of its meal when we saw it, eating ants from the anthill it had brought down. But I wonder if such a large body can sustain itself on just ants?

Versatile tail
The animal with the long tail, right? I saw it resting on my way back from the shores along with a merchant. The tail wasn't simply huge. It was using it as cover from the cold by draping it over its body. It must have been quite warm as the tail is quite fluffy.

Close to the sharp rock
If you are going on a research expedition, it may be best to look for it around the pointed rock landing on the shore between here and Rio de Janeiro. It was eating ants from the anthill in that area before.

Destroyed ant hill
...A broken ant hill. May be the work of the large animal as it feeds itself. The animal's footprints continue to the southwest.

Investigation of an animal with a large tail
The ant eating monster with the giant tail may be found by following these footprints. Let's study the animal going southwest from the pointed rock on the southeast coast of South America.

Giant Ant-eater ★★★★★ (Large creature) Exp:828 Fame:345
Having no teeth, this animal uses its extremely long tongue, and large, sharp claws to eat ants living in ant hills. When it rests, it uses its giant, soft tail to preserve warmth.
